Most clients experience smooth, hair-free skin for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles, skin type and aftercare. Regular waxing can extend intervals as hairs grow back finer and sparser over time.
When performed by trained specialists using gentle waxes and proper technique, irritation is minimized. We use calming post-wax serums and advise cooling, avoiding harsh products or sun exposure to reduce risk of breakouts and speed skin recovery.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and avoid heavy creams or oils. Exfoliate gently 48 hours prior if tolerated, and ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long for effective waxing. Notify us about medications or skin conditions.
Contraindications include active acne, sunburn, recent chemical peels or retinol use, open wounds, viral infections, or certain medications. Please disclose skin treatments and medical history; our therapist will assess suitability and recommend alternatives if waxing is not safe.
Apply soothing gels or aloe immediately, avoid hot showers, saunas and intense exercise for 24 hours. Steer clear of exfoliation, strong acids and direct sun for 48 hours. Use gentle moisturizers and SPF to protect healed skin.
Waxing effectively removes both vellus (peach fuzz) and coarser terminal hairs for a smooth finish. Results vary by hair thickness; finer hairs may regrow subtly, but overall texture improves and skin appears more even and radiant.
